Vesta Rowing Club holds not only a unique place in the hearts of many (members and visitors alike) but also a commanding position on one of the most famous stretches of riverfront in the world. The Club is regularly to be seen on Boat Race coverage on television and is also the focus of attention for major events on the Tideway. We’re very proud to be the only individual club to organise not one but two of the main head races on this reach of the river, being the Vesta Scullers’ Head and Vesta International Veterans’ Head. Both events are well established in the rowing calendar, for both domestic and overseas rowers, and they continue to grow year after year.
Rowing is well known as a great sporting example of teamwork, commitment, energy and passion, and we see this every day at the Club, and also at our two events where the hard work and enthusiasm of all our volunteers running the races mixes with that of the competitors to make a great atmosphere!
